Ho hum.
So, a lot has been happening, and I haven't been updating. That's because finding computer access for any length of time has been a little difficult. I'm half moved into Rita's new place on Somber Way (and by half moved in, I mean my guitars, amps, and computer) and the internet's just now up. (Actually, I'm just speculating on that front, as I'm not there right now. I'm nabbing Michael's internet, where, as it happens, I've been invited to move in. Go figure.) I'm still looking for a job, because I need something to do, and money to finance the other things that I do. Tuesday Morning will talk to me once their employees get back to them with their college schedules, and hopefully they'll be able to fit me in. Food is becoming slightly hard to come by, but I'm managing. Life is at a weird in between right now: I'm not homeless, but I don't really have any one place to call home, and lots of time and nothing to do with it. On top of that, my bike's fucked up. On the bright side, Michael and I are undertaking a great... er, undertaking. I've been talking forever about starting a band that's not just a "practice twice and write one song" kind of band, that actually is dedicated and writes music and shit. Michael's into the idea to, and we've got the bare bones of a really good song in the works. Today we TARCed up to the Doo Wop Shop and rented a better trumpet and bass amp for recording / performing purposes. We're looking into getting a temporary guitarist and drummer for this one recording, which we plan on taking on a road trip to Wisconsin. Long story there, actually, I'll spare you the details for now. Suffice to say, we are undertaking something epic. The band is being called "Red Light Culture" for now. Hum, let's see, what else is new... drivers license, haircut, Jibbs...
Over and out.
Update: Internet works at Rita's!
Also, I've put my art up on the Interweb.
Check it. The camera ran out of batteries, so there's roughly a dozen more pieces that will be up within the next couple of days.
