Today I begin my first day of work at Spinelli's. Fuckin' A Yes.

Yesterday was cool, hung out with Michael for a bit, then got to see the Killers with my mom. It was pretty tight, they're amazing live, but the opening band sucked. (Except one song which sounded a lot like Trail of Dead. Weird.)

Afterwards chilled with Dan and talked about how goofy Ian Curtis' dance is, among other things. He left, so I went out to a park I found hidden in the suburbs and made some new art. I think it's pretty chill.

Michael, Leroy, Thomas and I have decided to write our own bible (The Gospels According to Us, Motherfuckers) the other day. It's coming along well.

And I'm gone.

<lj:music>Our Dictator Can Beat Up Your Dictator- Marathon</lj:music>

Ho hum.
So, a lot has been happening, and I haven't been updating. That's because finding computer access for any length of time has been a little difficult. I'm half moved into Rita's new place on Somber Way (and by half moved in, I mean my guitars, amps, and computer) and the internet's just now up. (Actually, I'm just speculating on that front, as I'm not there right now. I'm nabbing Michael's internet, where, as it happens, I've been invited to move in. Go figure.) I'm still looking for a job, because I need something to do, and money to finance the other things that I do. Tuesday Morning will talk to me once their employees get back to them with their college schedules, and hopefully they'll be able to fit me in. Food is becoming slightly hard to come by, but I'm managing. Life is at a weird in between right now: I'm not homeless, but I don't really have any one place to call home, and lots of time and nothing to do with it. On top of that, my bike's fucked up. On the bright side, Michael and I are undertaking a great... er, undertaking. I've been talking forever about starting a band that's not just a "practice twice and write one song" kind of band, that actually is dedicated and writes music and shit. Michael's into the idea to, and we've got the bare bones of a really good song in the works. Today we TARCed up to the Doo Wop Shop and rented a better trumpet and bass amp for recording / performing purposes. We're looking into getting a temporary guitarist and drummer for this one recording, which we plan on taking on a road trip to Wisconsin. Long story there, actually, I'll spare you the details for now. Suffice to say, we are undertaking something epic. The band is being called "Red Light Culture" for now. Hum, let's see, what else is new... drivers license, haircut, Jibbs...
Over and out.

Update: Internet works at Rita's!
Also, I've put my art up on the Interweb. Check it. The camera ran out of batteries, so there's roughly a dozen more pieces that will be up within the next couple of days.

I want to be in a band. Not some half-ass, Megazord GO!, Brain Maggots band. Not some metal or Irish techno band that never gets past a name and three members. I need a musical outlet. And a new bass amp. Bah.

I've been really into making art recently, which is nice, since it doesn't involve four other bozos and equipment that malfunctions frequently. It fits with the whole nocturnal thing, too, as the night is a much better working environment. Less people, cooler, better scenery and all. I just got some new paints from Emmanuel, which is tight. Thomas is going to have an art show sometime in the future featuring some of my work, I'll post details when they arrive.

Also, I've decided to keep up with my Livejournal. It's been a while since my last real entry, and I've been meaning to update for a while. Go procrastination.

<lj:music>Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This- Eurythmics</lj:music>

These past few days have been up and down. For the sake of brevity, I'll skip the down parts, but suffice to say, I'm turning into Thomas and I'm not even getting credit. And there's still the upstairs bathroom to do.

Yesterday, Andrea bleached my hair, and it looks ballin'. It's really white, except the parts where it had been dyed previously, where it's a cool orange-ish still. Fantastic Sams (supposedly cheap) wanted fifty bucks (!) to just bleach it. We got a kit for less than nine, it looks damn good, and we had enough leftover to give Thomas a skunk stripe. Wallgreens FTW.

Picked up Michael later, dressed up as Slytherins, and crashed the Harry Potter release party. Thomas was Goyle, Andrea was Pansy Parkinson, I was Draco, and Michael ended up being "Nameless Slytherin #3." Saw a billion people I knew, including Rachel who finally cut her hair. (Crazy!) Owned a group of kids shouting "Gryffindor!" It was beautiful. Ended up getting a ride to Karma Cafe (Explosive Potatoes in BBQ Sauce?) from Alice's daughter.

Today, Amtgard for the first time in forever, and the Lebowski Fest. Oh, hell yes. The Legendary Shack Shakers are playing. I'm excited.

Sometime in August, Thomas is having another art show, and I actually have good art made in decent volumes. I've got to go add it manually, too, which is a bitch.

Life Update:
Mostly in reverse chronological order, cause that's how I think.

I'm still an insomniac. I couldn't sleep. On the way home, it rained on me, which was glorious. It was seriously the best feeling ever, it hasn't really rained in so long. I need to air my tires badly.

Saw Sam earlier at WKU, which was really nice. I really hate long-distance. Managed to see a few VAMPY campers that still knew who I was.
Last night was interesting, to say the least.
Michael, Rita, and her out of state friend Robyn came over to play DnD.
In between actual playing, a multitude of things occurred:
-best pizza snatch ever.
-worst mental image ever.
-Spinelli's closed at 3 am?
-most pathetic nachos ever.
-Roomba!
Today, I gank Thomas' Pulp Fiction soundtrack, because I have Flowers on the Wall stuck in my head. Oh, and I got my car back, finally. Cthulhu car FTW?

Chillin' at Rita's after shakes at Steak & Shake and cruising around. I am hungry, but eating sucks because I got these lame rubber bands for my braces. One more goddamn year.

Anyway, as far as plans for the future go, I think I might have one. I'm going to Alfred University for sure, but I'm going to try and transfer to Reed, and live in Portland Oregon with Thomas. I like this plan.

Tomorrow I LARP.
Sunday is Father's Day- I need to get my dad something.
